Our Most Memorable Weekend With Grandpa Dick

Our heart goes out to our grandpa/great grandpa Lucian "Dick" Kroska. He died on September 7th this past Monday at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester. He was 87 years old. He was married for 63 years to our sweet grandma/great grandma Angie. His main thing in life was to talk about his history. He served in WWII as a radio operator on B-17s. He was a member of the 379th bombing crew of the 8th Air Force. He proudly and successfully completed 35 missions in the European Theater. This past weekend September 5th- Septmeber 7th, Grandpa, grandma and us spent his last couple of days at the cabin. We will never forget the last conversations we had with him on Friday night sitting at the dinner table talking about his war stories he loved to talk about!!! We will never forget the memories we shared with him, and to my husband Andy, Grandma Angie and his family my heart goes out to you deeply. He will be greatly missed by eveyone. I thought I would share some pictures with you on our most memorable weekend at the cabin!

We have such fun times with our cousins Isabella and Amelia. We were all cozy with grandma Angie's favorite blankies!!!

Amelia and Sophia having fun watching the campfire together. The girls are 6 months apart in age.

We were so cozy with all the blankies, Clara and Sophia fell asleep with one another. Clara even was on top of Sophia and she didn't seem to care one bit!

Fun times with my daddy by the nice campfire. We had amzing weather all weekend.

We were having fun hanging out with mommy and making s'mores.

Clara had so much fun fishing with daddy and Sophia while mommy was snapping some pictures.

The girls favorite thing to do at the cabin is to catch frogs or toads and put them in a bucket and watch them jump. They even name all their animals they catch.

Great grandma Angie loves to share her favorite "pink" blankie with us. We had so much fun everynight on the porch. It was a very special and important weekend to us!
